Miller Time

1,323 games played. All with the Indiana Pacers.
Five time All-Star.
23,505 points scored.
All time leader in 3-point shots made.

Reggie Miller didn't complain when the team that got him to the NBA Final round in 2000 was dismantled.
Reggie Miller gracefully stepped aside to allow younger talent to develope. He didn't demand minutes, he didn't demand shots. Even when he was on the court he set up picks, passed the ball, and did all the things to help a teething Pacers team grow up and become the Beast of the East.

Many fans wanted Reggie Miller to take over the game, but he showed the new guys the future was them. But in page P2 of today's Indianapolis Star is the quote I've been waiting for:

"Do you still feel likeyou could take over a game if you had to?" he was asked.
Miller produced the same look he usually reserves for Spike Lee.
"Oh, yeah," he said quickly. "Absolutely."

Why are there tickets still available for the first two home games at Conseco? Go buy some and see the legend. You don't have anything better to do.
