First, she actually said "You should blog this" so I have permission for this story. Second Episode III is VASTLY superior to the first 2 films. Of course that isn't saying much. The Empire Strikes Back is still #1. Star Wars is still #2, but I say that Revenge Of The Sith is around the same level as Return of the Jedi. I can't figure out which is better yet at this time.

What a revelation to figure out that part of His Lord Supreme Badassness Darth Vader's problem is that he tried to do a good thing for all the wrong reasons. Like most men who fall, he tried to help a woman. The flip side of that rule is exemplified by Padme (Natalie Portman): good girls always fall for bad boys. As difficult as this is to believe Darth Vader is now a sympathetic persona, or at least Anakin Skywalker was. How different will it be for our children to view all six movies in numerical order, 1 through 6, than the way we saw it with the back half of the story first?
......
I could actually talk about the movie, but my screening function was the most interesting portion of the night actually. We know our ideosyncrasies too well so we enjoyed the absurdity of the moment. Okay I'll say one thing about the movie: the end fight between Obi-Wan and Darth Vader is the lightsaber battle royale you've been waiting for. Yeah baby!
