Illinois vs. North Carolina

Illinois pulled away from Louisville in the second half. That's what I expected. The Illini were on cruise control the last 10 minutes of that game. I still don't understand how Illinois doesn't have an inside game? I've only seen two games now, but it is as if all the players were afraid the paint was wet underneath the basket.

I was hoping for an all Big 10 final game, but Michigan State just couldn't pull it off against North Carolina. Offensive boards and steals kept the Spartans in the game during the first half, but they couldn't get any shots to fall at all. The second half proved even worse as Michigan State couldn't get any rebounds, NC started to get real hot offensively, and the Spartans couldn't hit the broadside of a barn with a Buick! When you miss the dunk, just go home! It wasn't as if the Spartans were rushing their shots the second half, their shot selection was decent. None would go down the damn basket!

Still CBS has got to be happy that the two best teams all year are in the final game. Much bigger ratings that way than an all Big 10 finale. Go Illini, you're my pick!
