Why is it that when I remember a dream I notice 2 things?

1. Why are many of my dreams so much more exciting than my real life?
2. I usually dream in the first person.

When you have dreams do you dream in first person point of view or third person? I'm usually in first person mode where I'm seeing the dream from my point of view, but sometimes I dream in third person where I can observe myself and others as if I'm watching a movie. Have you ever noticed that or am I weird again?
