Colin & Brian in '08!

Geez, we figure out who the winners and losers are today and there are people suddenly thinking about 2008! Oh come on folks, please let the dust settle first! Since folks are pondering on the donkey side of the aisle I'll offer this suggestion for the elephant side: Colin Powell! The man knows how to lead big organizations and proved he can invade a country when needed. Very intelligent and diplomatic as demonstrated by his service as Secretary of State. Proves he has an independent mind and is willing to express his own thoughts on a matter. Also has the nebulous quality of 'gravitas' which shouldn't be ignored. He'll likely be leaving his cabinet post and will have four years to plan his own invasion of the White House. His only downside is he'll be age 71 in 2008. I wouldn't blame him for staying in retirement.

I have the solution, put me in the VP slot! Robin felt that it was too ambitious of me to try directly for Slot #1, so I'll be a trainee for 4 years and take over for the mentor when he wants to step down. Seems like a very equitable arrangement to me. I prefer on-the-job training anyway.

If Mr. Powell wants to stay in retirement, then Condi Rice would be a good President...umm...Condi & Brian in '08?
